Ninja air fryers (and the Foodi dual-basket and Flip ovens) push noticeably more air than the average basket fryer. Foods crisp faster at the same set temperature — drop total time by roughly 8 % across the board, and check at the flip moment instead of trusting the timer.
Working with Ninja
- Use Air Crisp mode (not Air Roast) for any food where a crisp exterior is the goal — Air Roast lowers the fan speed.
- Dual-basket Foodi units cook each zone independently; matching food across zones is fine, but the Match Cook button only syncs end times when temperatures differ.
- The Flip-style oven (SP101) crisps slower on the rack than in the basket — leave the rack out for fries and wings.
