Doneness
The tops are domed and golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (around 200 °F / 93 °C inside). A sunken or wet center needs more time.
Oil & seasoning
Grease the cups or use paper liners so the muffins release.
Season with: vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, baking powder.
Watch out for
- Fill liners about two-thirds full so they don't overflow.
- Use silicone cups or a pan that fits — batter poured loose runs through the basket.
- Cook at the lower temperature so tops don't burn before the center sets.
- Check with a toothpick before pulling; air fryers brown the tops fast.
