Doneness
The tortilla is golden and crisp all over and the filling is steaming hot throughout. A pale, soft wrap needs another minute or two; flip once more if one side lags.
Oil & seasoning
A light mist gives extra crunch, but the tortilla crisps fine without it.
Season with: cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, cheese, salsa.
Watch out for
- Use fully cooked fillings — the air fryer crisps the wrap but won't cook raw ingredients through.
- Wrap tightly and place seam-side down so it doesn't unroll.
- Don't overfill, or the tortilla splits as it crisps.
- Let it rest a minute before biting — the filling holds heat.
